Welcome to the Oakleigh Pistol Club Website

Welcome to the Oakleigh Pistol Club website.

Oakleigh Pistol Club has been around since the 1950's and is affiliated with VAPA, PA, IPSC, ICORE and other shooting bodies. This ensures that if there is a match you would like to shoot, it can more than likely be shot at Oakleigh !

Registration to our website is of course free, you can register in the User Information section on the right hand side of the page. As a member you can post in the forums, submit news, events, stories and even entries into the Calendar Of Events should you be organising something.

Our current members include some of the top shooters in their chosen disciplines, some good enough to represent Victoria and even Australia!.

Club events include scheduled shoots on both Saturday afternoons and Wednesday nights, regular Wednesday night BBQ's and frequent VAPA postal matches just to name a few. The scheduled shoots ensure that all shooting matches are catered for and members are more than welcome to try any match they like the look of.

The club is located in Clayton South and is open on Wednesday Nights 7:30pm to 10:00 pm and Saturday afternoons 1:00pm to 5:00pm. Open access may be made available to members after a six month observation period. This allows access to the range during daylight hours any day of the week. For directions on how to get to the club please visit the Info/Location section. Safety is the most important aspect of shooting and we ask all visitors to please sign in and report to the member on duty before approaching any ranges.

The range facilities at OPC include 50m and 25m ranges as well as specialised ranges for IPSC, Service Match and ICORE. In fact we are currently in the re-building phase of replacing our 25m with a brand new one !

If you think you might like to join or simply want to find out more information about OPC feel free to mail any questions to oakleighpistolclub@gmail.com or call the club on 03 9584 1457.

Looking forward to seeing you at OPC.

Member Information What a Great Presentation Night !

Wednesday 9th December was our annual Presentation Night. Wow what a great night it was. Vlad cooked up a storm that kept everyone happy, Margot had trophies for all the winners and the new Club Champions. It was the most enjoyable function that I have seen at the club in years ! With the extensive work that had been undertaken this year to prepare our new 25 M Range for our November Open (which was unfortunately cancelled), three people were honored with a "Club Man of the Year" award for their outstanding efforts :: Brad Clark, Rod Cheney and Andrew Peirce. Well done to all of you and thank-you for your efforts.

Member Information Grounds Maintenance - Working Bee's

In order to keep our club looking spic and span, we will be conducting regulal "Grounds Maintenance" working bee's. These working bee's will concentrate on the easy stuff - mowing lawns, whipper snippering and weeding garden beds etc. The first of these working bee's will be conducted on Saturday 9th January commencing at 0800. Knock off a bit of work in the morning, a quick sausage sizzle for lunch and hang around for your normal shooting activitiy in the afternoon. The place should be looking good before we know it.
